Kaplan Innovation Center
The Kaplan Medical Center has 650 doctors, research laboratories, advanced technologies and medical databases of the hospital itself and of all Clalit Medical Centers in affiliation. The Kaplan Medical Centre has leading departments in the fields of digital pathology, cardiology, orthopedics and more. It has multiple collaborations with research and development institutions, government institutions and commercial companies in Israel and around the world.
As a champion of health innovation, the medical center founded the Kaplan Innovation Department, that aims to promote research and development of health-tech solutions. The department is a unique hub that aims at bridging communication and collaboration and provide guidance, counseling and training programs for entrepreneurs during different stages of health related product development.
The Kaplan Innovation Department is focused on medical solutions in the fields of health technology and bio-convergence. One of our main interests is health technology and engineering which includes development of smart medical devices, wearables, medical simulators, sensors and more. We have been chosen by the Biochip Consortium - the Innovation Authority's forefront of science and chip technology - as a clinical compass and provider of health needs assessment, and are working with leaders in research and industry to develop smart solutions.

Clalit Innovation Network
Clalit's innovation network includes twelve innovation centers, spread in our hospitals and the community. Each of these innovation centers has a unique purpose and characteristic, which is derived from its unique population, its geographical location, and the centers of excellence in the hospital or district, among other factors.
The challenges and areas of practice of the centers are based on real-life needs that clinicians, therapists, and other employees encounter every day.
